Resource Description: |
The Draft Policy Framework for Universal Access will provide clear legislation governing the provision of grade R in the country. A request for a draft implementation plan was requested for presentation to the HEDCOM meeting to be held on 26 August 2013. The plan focuses on the following four areas:
a) Implementing a targeted and effective teacher development programme (HRD plan)
b) Implementing a uniform curriculum framework for 0-4 year olds
c) Implement minimum requirements for practitioner qualifications
d) Improving conditions of service for ECD practitioners.
