The Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) at the Department of Education and nine provincial education departments collect, process and analyse data on learners, educators, and resources on the education system, including the following sectors:
- General Education and Training (GET),
- public Further Education and Training (FET),
- Early Childhood Development (ECD),
- Special Needs Education (SNE),
- Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) and
- public Higher Education (HE).
- National Education Infrastructure Management System(NEIMS)
