RECRUITMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND PHYSICAL SCIENCES TEACHERS FOR DINALEDI SCHOOLS
In order to connect prospective Mathematics and Physical Sciences teachers with principals of schools in need of these subject teachers, the DBE Dinaledi Unit has created a platform for this interaction to take place. The objective is to facilitate the rapid recruitment of teachers of these subjects.
Principals must submit their requirements by email to the Dinaledi Unit on the prescribed form. Similarly, prospective teachers will submit their biographical information and supporting documents to the Dinaledi Unit. Both forms are available for download on the Dinaledi page.
NO FAXES CAN BE ACCEPTED.
Before any teacher details are posted, information submitted will be thoroughly checked and verified by the Dinaledi Unit. Once details supplied by principals and prospective teachers have been posted on the Dinaledi page, principals and teachers will be able to contact one another. Thereafter, the same employment processes that are followed in the respective provinces will proceed and the Dinaledi Unit will have no further involvement.
To keep redundant information to a minimum, both principals and prospective teachers are requested to contact the Dinaledi Unit in the event a post offered is filled. The details will be kept on the Dinaledi page for 3 months, and will be removed automatically after 90 days.
Note that foreign-trained Mathematics and Physical Sciences teachers are encouraged to use this process.
The forms containing the information required must be emailed to: Dinaledi@dbe.gov.za, for attention Mr Esrom Fourie, Dinaledi Unit Senior Administrative Clerk.
Please use the subject line ‘teacher’ or ‘principal’ in the return email..
