Mathematics

I am currently marketing Maths Literacy lessons on CD. The CD consists of lessons done on powerpoint, worksheets with solutions, ruberics and assessment sheets, NCS documents.

A teacher is able to teach a lesson using powerpoint or can print the slides and give to learners as worksheets or notes. My CDs are of a great help to teachers.

mathematics is a very interesting subject but how do we deal with the learners who are not comfortable with english but comfortable with the vernecular language?

Setshog, teach them in their venacular. Maths is a different language. It's not english. Otherwise use what the learners can understand - their language and examples they can relate to.

3.understand the rules
By following this steps i dont think mathematics will be the problem.

Its true that most of them have attitude towards maths but is our duty as maths educators to come up with different methods which learners can find it easy and interesting.

Explain to the student repeatedly -- the methods of Math determine the answer. While you are going over a problem, explain using different methods to determine the answer as different learners learn differently And at their own rate. also motivate learners and where necessary provide extra lessons.

Kgomotso Moremi, As a Mathematics educator you must have the love of the subject. For learners to love and enjoy it, you as an educator have to love and enjoy it, make it interesting to them and show them it is not difficult as long as they are able to understand the concepts and do a lot of practise.
