The need for a training guide linked to the national guidelines was identified at the end of the 2009 SGB elections. The
content in this guide is therefore largely based upon the “National Guidelines for School Governing Body Elections”
document. This training guide has been designed in a concise and user-friendly format to give all role players the
guidance that they need, including information about the election procedures in general, as well as about the various
roles that election officials will play, before, during, and after an SGB election. |
