Draft School Sport Policy
The gazette serves as an invitation to the public to make submissions on the draft school sport policy which is contained therein.The due date is 30 March 2012. The purpose of this policy is to regulate the delivery of school sport for all learners, irrespective of ability, across all schools in an age-appropriate and/or grade appropriate way, based on the principle of equity and access.It is the vision of the Department of Basic Education to create a school sport environment that promotes healthy living and lifelong participation within a sporting culture. The comments should be forwarded to the address indicated on the second page of the document or to the email address: schoolsportpolicy@dbe.gov.za
